FORTEM – OUR STORY

Fortem was born from a belief I’ve carried for a long time:
the hard path is the one worth taking.

I’ve always respected people like David Goggins, Jocko Willink, and others who thrive on discipline and doing hard things. That mindset resonated with me early on, and it’s shaped the way I live.

I’m a husband, a dad, and a former ultra runner who has completed more than thirty ultramarathons. I love getting up before the sun, putting in work at the gym while most people are still asleep, and stepping into cold plunges that shock the system and sharpen the mind. I don’t do those things because they’re comfortable—I do them because they build mental toughness and prepare me for the hard seasons of life that we all face sooner or later.

Over time, I realized something simple but powerful:

Strength is earned. Not given.

I also realized I’m not alone. There are a lot of people wired the same way—people who choose the hard path on purpose, who push when it hurts, who live with discipline even when no one’s watching. Fortem was created for us.

Fortem is for the early risers.
For the grinders.
For the men and women who train when motivation is gone, who chase progress instead of comfort, who refuse to settle for “good enough.”

This isn’t just apparel to me.
It’s a mindset.
A reminder of the standards we hold ourselves to.
A way to inspire and celebrate a lifestyle built on effort, sacrifice, and resilience.
